In 2009, for the eighth consecutive year, GAIHN (Greenville Area Interfaith
Hospitality Network) will provide horse-drawn carriage
rides through the streets of downtown Greenville during the Christmas/Hanukkah Holidays. All proceeds
from the carriage rides are used to help provide emergency assistance for homeless
families with children.
On December 11, 14-15, 17-18, and 21-23, a horse-drawn carriage will depart from JB Lacher Jewelers on a fifteen minute carriage ride through downtown Greenville bedecked in its holiday splendor (each carriage seats four adults comfortably). Cooper Farm Carriage Service is our excellent carriage company.
Reservations will be taken starting on October 15. To reserve your spot, click here to go to the RESERVE YOUR SPOT page. Select the date and time that you would like to ride. Make sure you have your credit card handy (all reservations are prepaid) and thank you for your donation to help homeless families in our area! (This is a not a tax-deductible donation. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to GAIHN, click here or on the "Donate Now" button above.)
Our Goal:
This year we hope that 1,200 people will enjoy the festive ride through the streets
of downtown Greenville and help us raise about $10,000 dollars for GAIHN's ministry of hospitality with homeless families.
Sponsorship Opportunities:
Three exceptionally generous companies, Prudential/C. Dan Joyner Realtors, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Wachovia serve as corporate sponsors in 2009, and J.B. Lacher Jewelers, is our host sponsor for the eighth consecutive year. Corporate week and night sponsorships for 2009 are now available (call 271-3424 for details).
Sponsoring companies will receive a print ad in The Greenville News, signage on the horse drawn carriage, and promotional ads on WMYI 102.5 FM radio, and have the opportunity to decorate the pick-up and drop-off area.
Our corporate sponsor, Lacher Jewelers, is hosting this year's rides from their store at 123 College Street.
We thank our wonderful media sponsors for their support for the 2009 Holiday Carriage Rides to Help the Homeless: The Greenville News, WMYI 102.5 FM radio, and Shafer and Huguley Marketing.
